Hrithik's 'Super 30' gets a new release date

Long in the works, and muddled in quite a few controversies, Hrithik Roshan‘s next film ‘Super 30’ was scheduled to release on January 25, 2019. The film is directed by Vikas Bahl but after he was accused of sexual misconduct during the Me Too movement last year, Hrithik had tweeted against him. He wrote, “It is impossible for me to work with any person if he/she is guilty of such grave misconduct. I am away and have access to only sporadic information. I have requested the producers of Super 30 to take stock of the apparent facts and take a harsh stand it need be. This is not to be hushed or brushed under the carpet. All proven offenders must be punished and all exploited people must be empowered and given strength to speak up.”

Now, the release date has been postponed and it will hit the screens on July 26, 2019. Hrithik tweeted about the same, “Happy to announce that #Super30 is headed for release on July 26, 2019. बहुत जल्द समय बदलने वाला है! @RelianceEnt @NGEMovies @mrunal0801 @TheAmitSadh @nandishsandhu @super30film”

‘Super 30’ was initially set to clash with Kangana Ranaut starrer ‘Manikarnika: The Queen of Jhansi’ and Nawazuddin Siddiqui’s ‘Thackeray’. But now, Hrithik’s film has got a solo release in the month of July.

‘Super 30’ stars Hrithik Roshan in a pivotal role co-starring Mrunal Thakur, Amit Sadh and Nandish Sandhu in the supporting cast.
